Injured Gilbert player continues to progress

By Les Willsey, Tribune

Gilbert High tight end Beau Harris continues to make progress from a head injury suffered in a 28-7 win over Phoenix Desert Vista, Sept. 5.

Coach: Doctors say injured player will recover

Harris, who underwent brain surgery late Friday night to relieve hemorrhaging after being airlifted to Scottsdale Heathcare Osborn, was taken out of intensive care and able to receiver visitors Monday in a private room at the hospital.

Gilbert coach Jesse Parker and teammates and co-captains Sean Miller and Bret Crowe visited Harris early Monday afternoon prior to the team’s practice.
