Phoenix Pinnacle finished the regular season with a 28-21 win over Scottsdale Horizon in a 5A-II Pima Region game on Friday.

As part of a 21-0 third quarter for the Pioneers (5-5, 2-2), Taylor Stib rushed for touchdowns of 81 and 12 yards.
In the fourth quarter, with Pinnacle up 21-14, Andrew Hurley knocked a lateral pass down and returned the fumble 42 yards for a touchdown that gave the Pioneers just enough cushion for the victory over the Huskies (1-9, 0-4).
In all, the Pioneers forced three Husky turnovers, two by sophomore defensive back Cody Gibson on a interception and fumble recovery.
